Job Overview

The Cambridge Technical Recruiter role is responsible for driving full-cycle talent acquisition strategies across our organization. By sourcing, interviewing, and hiring top talent across technical, sales, and operational functions, this role directly supports Cambridge’s growth and culture. Working closely with leadership and hiring managers, the Technical Recruiter builds strong candidate pipelines, executes hiring goals, maintains compliance, and ensures an exceptional experience for all applicants.

 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Recruit & Source Talent:

    • Source and attract candidates proactively through job boards, LinkedIn, employee referrals, college career services offices, and professional networking.

    • Represent Cambridge at job fairs, university events, and industry meetups.

    • Support Cambridge’s presence on Glassdoor, LinkedIn, and similar employer branding platforms.

    • Manage relationships with external recruiting agencies and drive internal employee referral programs.

    • Foster diversity sourcing strategies and partnerships with organizations such as HBCU networks and veteran groups.

    • Utilize compliance platforms (Mitratech) to maintain proper OFCCP compliance.

  • Evaluate & Coordinate:

    • Screen candidate resumes and conduct initial phone/video interviews.

    • Coordinate interview schedules between candidates, hiring managers, and internal teams.

    • Administer skills assessments, pre-employment testing, and reference/background checks.

    • Ensure a positive, high-touch candidate experience and consistent communication throughout the hiring lifecycle.

  • Drive Strategy & Pipeline:

    • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, refine job descriptions, and maintain the job description library.

    • Coordinate with company leadership to understand near-term and future staffing needs.

    • Help management build and maintain a talent pipeline ("waterfall") across key role types.

    • Conduct market compensation benchmarking across various positions.

    • Track and maintain an active list of open requisitions.

  • Manage Operations & Compliance:

    • Manage offer processes, assisting in negotiations through candidate acceptance.

    • Support onboarding coordination and exit interviews, ensuring all tasks and training documentation are completed.

    • Track and report on core recruiting metrics including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, and offer acceptance rates.

    • Maintain applicant tracking systems (TrakStar) and internal recruiting documentation.

    • Collaborate with business operations to complete regular compliance activities and audit preparations.

 

Qualifications

  • University undergraduate degree required; HR, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred. HR certifications (PHR or SHRM-CP) are a plus.

  • 2–5 years of full-cycle recruiting experience (in-house or agency), with preferred experience sourcing technical and roles in technology.

  • Experience recruiting across multiple functional areas (technical, sales, operations) with a strong preference for startup or growth-stage environment experience.

  • Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and services required; familiarity with established technology vendors across the IT ecosystem preferred.

  • Proficiency in Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and applicant tracking software (TrakStar).

  • Understanding of recruiting metrics tracking and compliance platform usage (Mitratech).

  • Candidates must have impeccable communication skills, an ability to multi-task, and high attention to detail. They must be proactive in their approach, effective problem solvers, organized, creative, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to work with different types of personalities.

  • Authorization to work in the United States on a full-time basis is required.
