Description
Lead fast-paced strategic transactions in the high-tech industry. Work with Cambridge’s legal team to engage in these challenging legal projects, often in one-off situations that are new to the company. Attorneys typically work on projects independently, but huddle with our team often to think deeply and creatively on Cambridge’s hardest challenges.
We communicate daily with the legal and management teams of our vendors and clients, delicately maintaining those crucial relationships while protecting Cambridge’s interests. We think on our feet to solve problems creatively, streamline processes, and develop opportunities. Our work combines long-term projects with more immediate needs that arise unexpectedly. Enabling sales dictates the balance we strike between the two.
We seek an experienced business-minded attorney to join our team and tackle a variety of important legal matters, including contract negotiation, human resources, IP, immigration, and corporate governance. This role offers a unique opportunity to directly handle meaningful matters, experience a broad range of practice areas, and negotiate with attorneys from major companies and law firms, all while being exposed to cutting-edge products and services in high tech.

- J.D. with strong academic credentials.
- Admission to the Massachusetts state bar.
- A humble and positive solutions-based approach to practicing law.
- The ability to pay extremely close attention to the use of language and its effects.
- Proven sales and business acumen.

- Comfort working on a broad variety of legal matters.
- Creativity, resourcefulness, and an excitement to tackle completely new subjects.
- An inquiring mind with a problem-solving bent, balancing big picture thinking with common sense.
- Proven communication excellence with ability to provide clear, correct, and concise advice in a business context.
- Ability and willingness to project manage complex non-legal or quasi-legal projects, such as RFPs/RFQs.
- Strong sense of integrity and appreciation for confidentiality issues.
- Comfortable around large dogs (we have an office pup).
